We are organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Internal Revenue Service regulations, ensuring that all proceeds directly support our mission of providing education, culture and community building."

  • ROXY PAINE

    With his first solo exhibition in 1990, Roxy Paine is an artist whose early sculpture established an interest in the collision of industry and nature, translating systems of control and geologic causality. His art is a distinct grappling of conceptual and materiality - theory and form. As a co-founder and leading the vision for LAHAR, Paine is committed to creating a place for creative freedom and transformative encounters through art. He currently lives and works in Montana.

  • SOFIA M. PAINE. AIA, RA

    Sofia M. Paine is an architect licensed in Montana. She brings field experience and a practical background to adaptive reuse, historic rehabilitation, and the thoughtful transformation of existing buildings. In addition to her practice, she has taught at Pratt Institute in NY. As a co-founder of LAHAR, Sofia is interested in how architecture, history, and shared spaces can enrich the civic story and bring people together. She currently lives and works in Montana.

  • SEDIKA MOJADIDI

    Sedika Mojadidi is an award-winning, independent documentary filmmaker and producer. With over 20 years of experience in documentary storytelling, Sedika brings independent film production support to LAHAR. She is currently a Professor of Film and TV at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

  • ROMAN RYCERZ

    Roman is lead carpenter and experienced woodworker. His keen problem-solving skills help untangle the various rehabilitation and adaptive reuse needs for the Canning Co.. Roman lives and works in Montana.

  • MARIA D'AMBROSIO

    Maria provides administrative and communications support for LAHAR. She is a professional horn player and outdoor enthusiast who performs with orchestras in Montana and beyond, and runs absurd distances for sheer enjoyment.
